For weeks leading up to his birthday, Carter would say things like, "I can't believe I am almost a five year old boy," or "Mom, can you believe we are going to have a five year old boy in our family." Indeed I can't buddy. It is hard to believe it has been five years since this sweet rolly-polly baby boy joined our family.
Carter is my sweet, cuddly, sensitive child. He is super chill and ALWAYS happy. Carter is always giving us hugs and telling us he loves us. He loves spending time with his family, reading stories, playing x-box, watching movies, swimming and playing soccer. Happy Birthday Buddy!
Carter started out his birthday with a GRUNDLE of presents from Mom, Dad, Ammon and Grandmas and Grandpas.
He was excited about every one of them,
especially the Star Wars stuff.
For dinner Cart chose "those green things I like," (a.k.a. artichokes) and jello. I added some grilled chicken to make it a little more well rounded meal.
Of course we had to have a chocolate Star Wars cake and chocolate ice cream.
Not my best work ever, but cut me some slack- it's been a stressful month.

Carter looks so old. I can't believe it. Your cake looks amazing to me. How did you get the choc frosting to look so great? Nixon's turning 3 on Monday...time flies. These boys of our's are growing up WAY too fast!

oh Carter, he is seriously the cutest child i've ever seen. I just remember him as a chubby little babe. I could just eat him up, he's so cute. Artichokes are my favorite too, this boy has good taste and Shauni, your star wars cake is awesome as was your lemon cake last night!
We're having a hard time coping with the fact that our babies are five already. Megan can't wait for Kindergarten to start, and all I can think is that she'll be gone all day every day!

Too bad you have a CRAPPY friend who made you stay at a hotel!!! Geez! You did a TON of sight seeing - I think you saw what it took us about 2 1/2 days to see with our kids. Looks like it was such a great trip!! Wish I could have seen you!
