And Frogs:
I have no logical explanation why this little peanut adores this frog,
but is terrified of this one..
and because she found this scary little plastic frog in an Easter egg at the playgroup hunt, she is now terrified of these:
It made for an interesting Easter this year. I had to give Abbi a BIG pep talk before the Scott & White employee Easter egg hunt telling her, "don't worry, there's just candy in these eggs- NO FROGS," and "there is nothing to be afraid of there are NO FROGS in these Easter eggs." Try as I might, I still couldn't get her to pick up ONE egg. (I picked up a couple for her.) All my begging and pleading was wasted when I opened a plastic egg to show her that there was not a frog inside of it and oops... seriously, what are the chances? There was a blue plastic frog in that Easter egg. Needless to say, she refused to participate in our family Easter egg hunt on Sunday. But, all of the kids were really into their Easter baskets,
Colby not so much.
I always LOVE to do the matchy, matchy thing for holidays, and this year was no exception.
This is what Abbi did during the Easter egg hunt- stood in the doorway and watched. She didn't seem to mind that she missed out on all the "cannys and moneys."
Call me cruel, but I had to provide some video proof of her wierd plastic frog phobia. It's actually pretty entertaining.

And just so you don't think that our Easter was all about candy, eggs and frogs; we had a great FHE lesson on the resurection and watched a video online. I am so grateful for the Savior and the sacrifices that he made for us. Here is Abbi telling the Easter story in her own words:

That is hilarious Shauni!! I was already laughing, but loved that you actually posted a video so we could see it for real. Maybe it is a 'little' cruel, but you'll love having that on video...and we enjoyed it too! ;) It was a look of pure terror... I couldn't believe how sad she was!
And of course your kids look darling matchy-matchy like always. When I did Brynlee's hair on Sunday, she looked in the mirror and said "Abbi!" She's been great to let me comb here hair the last 2 days because I ask if we should do her hair like Abbi and she says "YA!" :) Anyway, Abbi is darling and your boys are sure handsome! Happy Easter!
Kids are pretty entertaining. The things that frighten them always amaze me. That really is funny that Abbi's whole Easter was affected by a little plastic frog. BTW, the kids look adorable in their Easter outfits!
Cruel or not...that was pretty entertaining. Poor Abbi. From laughing and happy to screams of pure TERROR. I think she might have been scarred by that experience. Too funny. Sweet Abbi...love that matching clothes for the kids. LOVE the dress.
hahaha, this is awesome! Oh my gosh, how funny. What is so terrifying about that little purple frog? The best part of the story is that there actually was a frog in the easter egg you picked up... I've never even thought of putting frogs in easter eggs... maybe it's a texas thing.

What are the chances that the other egg had a frog too - poor girl!! She looks adorable though. What a handsome bunch you had for easter. The pic of Colby in bed cracks me up. I love your earlier post of the pine wood derby. Dallin will be eight soon and I am excited for him for scouts - so much fun! I loved talking with you the other day.
I LOVE their matching outfits and the frog video has got to be the funniest thing I have seen in a long time! Scotty and I could not stop laughing. Glad you had a great Easter!
This is the funniest post. What are the chances of multiple frogs in a Easter egg? HA HA. Abby might be traumatized for life by little plastic frogs, but that video was so funny.
And your kids look so cute in their Easter best. I love Easter.
